Expanding Horizons

Boy- Last night was a DOOZIE!

Since I finally found the first chapter of my book I'm writing I have been having some really, really weird dreams.

Seems Hunter (my main character in my book) is wanting to expand her horizons a bit.

Now I don't mind having dreams that give me ideas I can work into my book- but now she's gone too far...she's dragging my kids into her hell. Give ME stuff I can use- but leave my kids out of it, Hunter.

I'll be glad when this project is over and done with, get it on paper and hopefully in print.
That'll be turning lemons into lemonade.

LMAO. I need a LONG holiday/vacation.

Frivolous?

What's the most frivolous thing you have ever bought/got for yourself?

Something you didn't NEED but just WANTED- not even because it was useful-but purely just because you wanted it?

Mine- a hot pink and white swimsuit from VENUS SWIMWEAR.
2 tops- each costing $65.00
1 thong bottom-60.00
1 flap for wearing on public beaches-25.00

The Sea...............

If only I was sitting there in the sun with nothing more to do than soak up the rays and sip on pina coladas and strawberry margaritas.

I could send you all a "post"card saying...

"Having a GREAT time! Wish y'all was here.

Maybe in a few months...................

Best Man For The Job

Has any of you guys heard of Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina?

If not, Google him and look at some of his spending (or rather SAVING) habits and some of his policies. His spending clock is especially original. He's not afraid to call out the dollar hogs in the state legislature- and the man practices what he preaches too. He's definitely not your average politician- not by a LONG shot!

In my opinion- HERE is the best man for the job of running our COUNTRY!!!

Too Bloody Hot!!

Ack!

Got home this morning from work and after eating a bite went straight to bed. (:15 AM I was sawing logs in the bedroom. By noon:30 it was so bloody hot I could barely breathe in there.
We don't have A/C in the bedroom- why I have NO idea- but we do have two fans and even with them running full force it was still to hot to be in there sleeping.

Why in God's name do we NOT have spring weather anymore? Why must it go directly from the 30's to the mid 80's and 90's?

I want to move to a milder climate. Pauli says I would hate England's weather- seems it rains most of the time- but I honestly believe it would be better than going from one temperature extreme to the other weather-wise.

Only thing I would miss is my family- NOT the weather!!

Says WHO?

So we don't/can't cross infect, eh?
I BEG to differ!
I have been sick for the past week and a half. Fever, sneezing, sore throat, coughing like there's no tomorrow, aching, throwing up(I refer to it as Yakking).....basicly your average version of the FLU. I say we got it from the cat- who got sick the day after we got him and is still sick with whatever it is- and the symptoms seem to be the same for him as well. Cat Flu.

Well, I've been throwing up almost every day. Usually barely making it to the bathroom. Well, at work last night I made it to the restroom- and the sink- before YAkking. Know what I threw up?
A FURBALL!
I am NOT kidding. Okay- I may act catty sometimes- but I don't GROOM myself the same way the cat does. Or the dog either.
It was soooo gross! I Yakked a couple more times just knowing what I had thrown up.

My question is- by getting the Cat Flu- does that mean I am slowly morphing into a cat? Does it mean I am allergic to the cat? The Dog-(Can't be the dog- we didn't get sick til the cat moved in)
Or is the cat allergic to me?
Surely there can't be that much fur floating around in the air in our home for me to breathe enough in to make me sick.

What the heck is going on?

Only As A Last Resort.

Know how to tell if a Southern boy(man) is about to pass from this life to another?

He parks his pickup in the backyard permanently.

Seriously. It's an observation that finally hit me just a few days ago.

But it's a hundred percent true. I swear.

:-(

Okay- Now I'm sick.

Stupid kitten gave me and Pauli BOTH a cold or virus or something...he has done nothing but sneeze in both our faces since we got him.

I'm miserable.
Pauli is coming out of his sickness but mines just beginning.

And my Docs appointment on Friday didn't go well either.
I don't wanna go into details but suffice it to say I have three procedures scheduled for this week as follow-ups to the results from Fridays visit.
PAINFUL PROCEEDURES.
And even after these three I still have two left for next week or the week after.
Not a happy camper.

On a related note....on the way home i was listening to my fav radio show- Radio Reader on - yep, you guessed it, NPR- and there was a passage about a man who died and had only half dozen people show up at his funeral besides his son.

Got me to thinking......How many people do I think would show up for my funeral.
We would like to think we're well liked and well though of- a respected member of our community and our church, maybe a few clubs if we are members of any,....and of course our close friends and family members.

Now let's see......Honestly I know my Hubby would be there. So would my Mom, my kids and their spouses, MAYBE the grands(my family is one of the few that thinks that unless a child is old enough to understand whats going on, they're best left home with a sitter) I have three girlfriends who I know would move heaven and earth to be there, 6 cousins, and two uncles and two aunts.
I don't think but one of my co-workers would be there and one ex-boss-man.
One other person MIGHT attend- I'm not sure but I think so.
So that's what.........23-27 people depending on the grands attending.

Hmmmmmm......I need to work on my social skills before it's too late.

Oh- and I like YELLOW Roses, white Lilies and white Tulips...but no Carnations...they make me deathly sick to smell them.....

But then again...I'll be dead so what does it Matter???

STOP LAUGHING at my BLONDE moment!!!!!!!
(Saffy and I are SISTERS- separated at birth, obviously.)

I'm going to bed.

My 2 Effing Cents.......

Okay, I have tried and tried to write this over the past few weeks- and had to stop because it gets my blood pressure skyrocketing when I try and write everything I have to say about it.
So here is the condensed version of it- fill in a LOT of other related stuff and you got the whole rant......You can do it-Use your imagination- you know me well enough by now, I'm sure.

Illegal Aliens.
WRONG- WRONG-WRONG. Easy to fix- find 'em, put em on a bus- ship'em back to the country they came from. It will save us taxpayers loads of money to do it that way.
Paulius and I have spent close to 50,000 US $ on getting him over here LEGALLY so we could be married and live is the Grand Ole U.S. of A.- and we did it the LEGAL way and we did it ourselves without the help of an attorney. If they want to live here that badly- let them do it the same way WE did- sweating blood, sweat and tears AND LEGALLY.
And Another thing.....Arresting border patrol officers and law enforcement officers who try to do their job when it comes to Illegal Aliens Is WRONG-WRONG-WRONG!. For Gods sake- their job is hard enough without having to coddle and baby those DAMN LAWBREAKERS!
And I don't care how you try to sugarcoat it, or what the extenuating circumstances are- ILLEGAL ALIENS are F*&$^#@ LAWBREAKERS so Let the cops do their JOB without having to worry about being thrown in jail for it!
And once the Aliens get over here LEGALLY- LEARN effing ENGLISH for Christsake. It's AMERICA- we speak primarily ENGLISH- Learn it and don't expect us to learn YOUR language- if you want to hear everyone speaking YOUR language- go back where you effing came from.
Damn this is just pissing me off more and more every time I hear about another cop being punished for arresting an alien or hear about that damn Alien Amnesty bullshit Bush is trying to push thru. I used to be a cop and I know how crappy they get paid and pretty soon if this keeps up- they won't be enough cops left on the force to protect the citizens and LEGAL residents of the USA- we'll have to go back to Old West style justice- which is fine by me anyway- I'm a crack shot as long as its a 9mm or a 38. I'd have 'em doing the Hot Lead Boogie all the way back to the freaking border............DAMN.

Oh and as a final note but on a completely unrelated subject- Yeah , in my opinion Don Imus should be fired- and sued as well. What-an-ASS.

Weird or What? ... AND...Happy 3rd Anniversary Paulius!

Are we weird or what?

My mom, my brother and one of my sisters live within literally a stones throw from each other and Paulius and myself.
We tend to actually visit my mom and check on her a few times a week. And we all call each other on the phone every day- some of us several times a day to keep up with whats going on with mom and each other. But we hardly ever actually visit each others houses except on major holidays. We don't do the morning coffees or the weekend bbq's unless its a totally spontaneous
thing when we happen to meet at moms as a group- which is about once a year...if we're lucky.

Is that weird or is that normal for siblings?

Another brother is anti-social so we never see him at all, not even ON major holidays. Another sister is living about an hour and a half away in one direction- another sister is living an hour away in the opposite direction, but we still call each other and see each other fairly often. Not as often as I would care to see the girls, but often enough I don't cry missing them.

I think my Paulius was extremely brave and giving by moving all this way. I don't know if I could deal with being away from my family the way he has done these past three years. I know he lived in a neighborhood just like mine with my family- just a stones throw from any one of a handful of aunts, uncles and cousins.

I just want him to know that I appreciate what he did and how courageous I think he was to do that.

Happy Third Year Anniversary of you coming to this country, Baby.

I Love You.

(Sigh...and again- this is why i HATE using spell check on here....how many times have i clicked on publish and forgot to stop spell-check? MANY)

Sorry, but I'm just too lazy today to retype everything.
OMG- now y'all can see I'm not perfect. I'm RUINED!

LMAO!
