I work the graveyard shift.....midnight -8AM and the best thing about it is that I go back to work on Sunday night midnight. By the time you guys are getting up, my Monday is either over already- or just about over. And when I get off work at 8AM on Friday morning, it seems so nice to not have to go back in that night. It seems like I get to play hookey every Friday and not going back in til Sunday night midnight(Monday) is like having a 3 day weekend every week!
Now I have a decision to make.....There is a 2nd shift position coming available in October. Do I want to give up my 3rd shift position for it?
The upside of THAT job is the fact I would be sleeping normal hours with my husband again. On the downside, if Paulius gets a position working day-shift, we wouldn't see much of each other during the week. Sleeping is about all we would be doing or seeing of each other til the weekend...or whatever his days off would be.
Decisions, decisions!

Well, I can tell you from personal experience that 2nd shift blows worse than Hurricane Katrina!
Think about it:you'd be going to work in the middle of the afternoon, working while most people go out for dinner, to a movie, or ANY other type of social activity, and would seriously cut down any "paulius time" should he get anything other than a second shift job.
I'd suggest sticking with third until a first position came along.

hard decision but I have worked the night shift and didn't like it. Hubs works the night shift and said he would rather have it because he golfs in the morning. Personally I would like to see him get the second shift but that's just me lol
Snugglings the good part anyway right? ;O)
Well, yeah- snuggling and such is GREAT- but I actually have an intelligent man to have a CONVERSATION with and who makes me laugh as well, so to me that's JUST AS important as the snuggling and such.
I want it ALL- and as a Goddess I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to HAVE it all.
Hmm that's a tough one. But on your current shift, if Paulius gets day shift, you guys wont get to sleep together in the week - no snuggles!!!
yeah- but we will get to spend time togehter in the afternoons and who says we cant have snuggles in the afternoons instead of at night or in the mornings?
