It Was A Very Good Day........But I Missed Julie and Clay.

Yesterday was a good day.

Picked up Frank and Marie and their two(for the moment) boys.
They asked me to stop at the grocery store and surprised me and Marie with a burger and hot-dog cookout- completely prepared by Frank and Paul!!
The kids were playfully ornery-as usual.......and then my sister and a few of her "kids" and a couple of friends and my mom dropped by as well. We had a nice long visit and a few laughs.

Julie and her family wasn't able to make it....I was heartbroken, but both her and Eddie had to work so I understand.

We'll go out to lunch in a few days and have some mom-daughter time then. We all missed them, tho.


Kathy spent the day with her mom- which I expected. Before coming home from picking up Frank and Marie, we all went by the cemetery and spent some time with Clay. Frank and I spruced up and trimmed around his headstone. We were glad to see grass almost completely covering the site now. We smiled and commented on how Clay was always working on his yard trying to get grass to grow when he and Kathy bought their house. Frank and I have planned to get some plugs of the ....Hmmmm...I'm not sure whether it's Centipede or Bermuda that we have in our front lawn........but whichever it is is used on golf courses a lot and is beautiful, short and very soft.....and put it on his site. Let is spread out from there. We noticed a few other sites had it done and was spreading too. It looked beautiful. We want Clays site to be as beautiful as it can possibly be. I miss him so much.

Frank also put in my speakers he got for my car a few weeks ago. They sound good. He also helped my sweet hubby finish cutting almost all the grass that remained in the yard. He's such a wonderful son.

I'm not feeling too good today- I have a horrendous tummy-ache. Not from over eating- I only ate one burger, no chips and a couple glasses sweet tea at the cookout. I was quite proud of myself for having so much willpower with all that good food around.

Oh wait- I did have a small bowl of Banana Pudding last night as well. But none of that would have caused my tummy to cramp up like it's doing now........sorry- maybe TMI???


So now I'm off here to ....I don't know what except whine a bit more and get ready to go to work. UGH- I hope it's an eight hour night, but I have the feeling when I call it will be a twelve hour instead.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

After I signed off above- I looked at my e-mail and found two cards from co-workers and several Face-book and Myspace greetings as well....AND when I arrived here at work, The sweet girl I work the front desk(Kimberly) with had brought me and Karen a Cream Colored Rose with Pink Azeleas for Mother's Day!!!!

Are you beginning to understand why I ADORE the people I work with? They're as thoughtful and sweet as family.

Anyway, back to work....I just wanted to say thanks to everyone.
