Do any of you have a KINDLE or one of the electronic readers? What do you think of it? My sister , Nina, has one and last I heard- she loved it!!!

On the one hand, I would LOVE to have one- especially now that with moving I'm having to give up all but a dozen of my books. I can see where an electronic reader would come in so handy in space and storage....Some of them hold like 500 or more books....but on the other hand, there's just something SO relaxing and satisfying about actually holding a book and turning the pages.......and nothing (except coffee brewing or Thanksgiving day dinner) smells quite as nice as a room full of books. Preferably leather bound ones.

It's just breaking my heart I'm having to let go of my library.

I think I'm going to ask Santa for an electronic reader for Christmas.
And that's ALL I'm asking for.

Sunny I have one and it is great. It is easy to use and you can use bookmarks and even make notes. If I want to get another book I can order it from my Kindle and have it downloaded in 60 seconds. I plan to take mine with us on the cruise in October. Should have plenty of time to do some relaxed reading. I understand they are even lower in price now so you could get one for less than I paid.

Personally, I'd spend the money on a netbook and just turn it sideways to read off it.

All the benefits of an eReader in the same size package, but it can also do everything a laptop can...and you're not stuck with one 'store', DRM or proprietary book formats.

Many of the e-type readers are only as big as a paperback... not nearly as big as a net-book.

For that matter i could just use my laptop for it- but I can't even figure out how to FIND a dang book to download on here...let alone actually DO it.

And this thing's too dang big to carry in my pocket. OR my purse.
